OVERVIEW

The Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge is a unique and special place located on the slopes of the Sincholagua Volcano, found in front of the Cotopaxi Volcano, the tallest most active in the world.  The lodge is located at an altitude of 3600 meters above sea level and surrounded by beautiful and wide open grasslands in the Andean paramo with a combination of forest, streams, waterfalls and rivers such as the Pita the passes by peacefully near the lodge.  The property is found in the middle of a private hacienda where wildlife roam freely including red-brocket deer, Andean fox, Andean pumas, White-tailed deer, and even the rare Andean-speckled bear, along with wild horses and a huge variety of endemic birds.  The most famous the bird species seen in this area is the Andean Condor, the national emblem of Ecuador.

Dlaczego warto wybrać Betsson?

COMFORT

Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge offers comfortable and modern domes of 50 sq meters with large, picture windows displaying spectacular views of the Cotopaxi Volcano.  Inside you’ll find comfortable accommodations equipped with double and twin beds, a bathtub, desk, heaters and a seating area within each dome.  Additionally, each dome comes with a full bath with running hot water and towel warmers for even the coldest mornings and evenings.  As an added plus, you can treat yourself to your own cup of coffee each day as you please since each accommodation is provided with a coffee maker, along with a well-stocked minibar for your convenience.

Dining at the Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge is an experience unlike any other.  Each day after enjoying the activities you’ll be welcomed with either hot tea or coffee.  In the evening, enjoy a glass of wine in the social areas before dinner while watching the sun set across the Andean highlands, as the Cotopaxi is displayed beautifully against the changing colors along the horizon.

GETTING THERE

If you are in Quito, you can reach the lodge by two routes, the first is heading south, passing the town of Machachi, this route takes you approximately two hours and the second route which is shorter and takes an hour and a half is the one that takes you through Sangolquí and the Avenue of the Volcanoes.  For passengers going from the airport the shortest route is the one that goes through Pifo passing by Sangolquí and the Avenue of the Volcanoes.  All three routes will take you to the community Loreto del Pedregal where the entrance to the property is located.
